Our Rooms
NURSERY - “Joeys” 8 Children……………….(6 weeks - 2 years)
In our Nursery we have created a homelike, nurturing environment. Each baby has their own individual routine and are loved, cuddled, stimulated and nurtured throughout the whole day. They are continually building on their gross motor and fine motor skills through creative arts, music and movement, sensory experiences, experimentation with many different materials & textures and exploring their outside area in the cubby, forte and swings.
TODDLERS - “Koalas” 10 Children……………….(15 months - 2 years)
Our Koalas are involved in a flexible program enjoying lots of experiences from dancing, singing songs, reading stories and lots of art and craft focussing on the Children’s needs and interests and developing their language, social and emotional development.
JUNIOR KINDY - “Wombats” 16 Children……………….(2 years - 3 years)
The programs for the Wombats focus mainly on developing the Children’s fine motor skills, gross motor skills, language development and developing positive friendships with their peers. Our teachers are often working with the families and assisting with toilet training.
SENIOR KINDY - “Emus” 16 Children……………….(2.5 years - 4 years)
The program is a continuation from the Wombats program with a focus on developing and maintaining friendships, taking turns, being a member of a group and taking part in challenging activities.
PRESCHOOL - “Kookaburras” 24 Children……………….(3 years - 5 years)
Children in the Kookaburra’s room will be involved in a Program ‘Learn & Grow’, which has been developed exclusively for the Children at Gumleaf Gully. This is a fantastic program that has been developed after many consultations with Prep Teachers, Education Consultants and experienced Preschool Teachers. The Program focuses on sense of self and others, health and physical understanding, social living and learning, understanding environments and most importantly concentrating on the skills that our Children will need to start Prep. We are really passionate about our program and equipping our boys and girls with as many skills as possible for their journey into big school. Our main focus is ensuring our Children are socially ready to start school and know how to form and maintain friendships.
